CAPE members play a critical role in defending the public interest and in supporting policies that reflect basic values of fairness and equality. The CAPE Education Committee is pleased to announce the launch of Reignite, a learning series meant to contribute to discussion and debate on important economic and social questions to enable CAPE members to provide fearless, evidence-based advice in the interest of the public.

Usurpation of CAPE intellectual property

The authorized domain names for CAPE’s official website are “www.acep-cape.ca” and “www.cape-acep.ca”. CAPE is concerned that the domain name “www.cape-acep.com” is confusingly similar to its authorized domain names and may be misleading to CAPE members and members of the public, particularly since the website has also featured CAPE’s graphics and logo in the past.

Information on retroactive pay for EC and TR retirees

The retroactive period is from the effective date of the salary revision (June 22, 2014 for ECs – April 19, 2014 for TRs) up to and including the day before the collective agreement is signed on May 24th, 2017. If you were an employee anytime during this period, you are entitled to retroactive pay.
