Position Summary

The Finance Assistant provides administrative, coordination, data-entry, documentation, and basic financial processing support to the Finance Department. The position supports the Director of Finance and IT by helping maintain accurate financial records, coordinating documentation for payroll, budgeting, audits, Finance & Audit Committee meetings, and membership-related financial administration. 

The position does not independently approve expenditures, interpret complex financial policy, make payroll entitlement decisions, or exercise supervisory authority. The decisions made by this role are limited and complex financial, payroll, benefit, pension, procurement, budget, or collective agreement interpretation questions are typically escalated.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Communications, Public Affairs, and Linguistic Services, the Communications Coordinator plays a key role in supporting CAPE’s communications activities and ensuring members receive clear, accurate, and timely information. As a member of the Communications Team, the Coordinator works collaboratively across the organization to plan, produce, and coordinate communications products and initiatives that strengthen CAPE’s visibility and connection with its membership.

The Communications Coordinator contributes to the development and delivery of a wide range of communications outputs including written content, web and email updates via Action Network, member notices, briefing materials, and promotional collateral for campaigns and events. The role includes coordinating timelines, supporting cross-team workflows, and ensuring that all materials align with CAPE’s strategic priorities, messaging, visual identity, and commitment to accessibility in both official languages.
