Departmental organizing committees are made up of members just like you who are frustrated with our working conditions and realize that things won’t change unless we build our unity and numbers to the point where the employer cannot ignore us. AGM – SAVE THE DATE – NOVEMBER 15!

Mark your calendars! CAPE’s 2026 annual general meeting is coming up in November.

Like last year, the AGM will be a full-day event, taking place on Sunday, November 15 at the Delta Hotel in Ottawa. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for in-person and virtual attendance.

This year’s AGM is all about how you’re going to take it to the table. Join us in November to engage with your fellow members and CAPE’s leadership about how you can leverage that power.

SUBMIT YOUR RESOLUTIONS

CAPE invites members to submit resolutions for consideration by the membership this fall.

Resolutions may focus on CAPE’s policies and practices. As outlined in CAPE’s constitution, members may submit resolutions to be voted on by the membership following the annual general meeting.

The period for member resolutions for the 2026 AGM is now open.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: MANDATE 2027-29

Are you interested in running for an elected position on the National Executive Committee? This is your opportunity to define the future of your union. The nomination period is June 1, 2026 to September 1, 2026.

All 34 NEC positions are open for election for a three-year (3) term from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2029.
