From November 14 to November 28, members were asked to review and vote on CAPE National Executive Committee business: the annual budget; audited financial statements; appointed auditors; and a resolution.

 Here are the results:

Be it resolved to accept the budget for fiscal years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021, as prepared by management, recommended by the Finance Committee and approved by the National Executive Committee.

Having reviewed the audited financial statements of the Association for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2019;

Be it resolved to accept the audited financial statements for year 2019-2020, as prepared by management, reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the National Executive Committee.

Be it resolved to accept the Audit committee recommendation that the firm McCay Duff LLP Chartered Professional Accountants be the Association’s auditor for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2020.

Be it resolved that:

CAPE should organize and hold a membership-wide vote on whether to join the CLC, the vote to be held no later than 31 December 2020; and,

Prior to the vote, preferably through a special general meeting (to allow for discussion) and by email, CAPE should provide members with information about joining the CLC including information about the CLC itself, cost, how the fees will be covered from the CAPE budget, and the advantages of membership.
