In accordance with CAPE Translation Bureau Local’s By-Laws, which provide for general elections of representatives in the fall of every even-numbered year, the Local Executive Committee hereby invites you to submit your candidacy for one of the following positions:
- Translation Bureau Local’s President
- Regional TR Representative
- EC Representative
- French TR Representative
- English TR Representative
- Multilingual TR Representative
- Interpreters Representative
- Terminologists Representative
- Parliamentary TR Representative
- Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator
These members form the Local Executive Committee responsible for the application of the Local’s by-laws and for consultation with the Translation Bureau and Public Services and Procurement Canada, with the support of CAPE’s National Office.
Representatives are elected by their respective groups, by electronic ballot. They are elected in even-numbered years for a two-year term of office beginning on January 1st of the odd-numbered year following the election.
To apply, please write by October 17, 2022, to BtB@acep-cape.ca, specifying the position you are applying for and attaching a statement of no more than 500 words.
After October 17, 2022, the Executive Committee will review the applications. If there is more than one candidate for the same position, the Executive Committee shall hold electronic elections among the TRs and ECs concerned. Otherwise, the Executive Committee shall appoint the candidates by acclamation.
