CAPE’s EC bargaining team held intensive negotiation sessions with the Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) over the months of May and June. Despite our best efforts, we were not able to conclude a new agreement prior to the expiry of the collective agreement on June 21, 2022. We are having constructive dialogue and the discussions remain positive. We are making progress on a number of important issues, however, we remain at odds regarding some of our key priorities regarding compensation, remote work and the right to disconnect.
We look forward to continuing our discussions with the Employer over the course of the summer.
