CAPE submitted a brief to the House of Commons Standing Committee on the Status of Women for their study on the labour force impacts of menopause and perimenopause.
The brief provides recommendations and findings based on the member survey on menstruation, fertility and menopause as well as the findings from member focus groups on reproductive health, both of which took place in 2025.
CAPE is encouraging the committee to examine reproductive health more broadly and recommends that the committee work to eliminate workplace barriers to addressing reproductive health, accommodating workers, and ensuring that workers have the tools and protections they need to continue their careers.
