Ottawa Trans March

For the third year in a row, you’re invited to join CAPE’s Queer and Trans Workers Equity Caucus at Ottawa’s march for trans rights!
In a time of sharp rise of scapegoating of trans people and attacks on trans rights, it’s more important than ever for allies in labour to stand in solidarity. All are welcome and no registration is required!
Ottawa Dyke March and Picnic
Date: Saturday, August 29, starting at 2:30 pm ET
Location: Minto Park
All are welcome to join CAPE’s Queer and Trans Workers Equity Caucus at Ottawa Dyke March, which is Ottawa's longest-running Pride season space that’s organized for and by grassroots 2SLGBTQIA+ community members. This year, Dyke March will be a full day of community – including a market with vendors, a rally, a march, and a picnic.
Capital Pride Parade
Date: Sunday, August 30, 2026, beginning approximately midday
Location: Downtown Ottawa (exact details shared after registration)
Deadline to RSVP for the parade: August 27, 2026 – 3 pm ET
This year CAPE will be marching as part of the PIPSC contingent, as we build our common front and solidarity across our unions. An accessibility van will be available. All members, family, and friends are welcome — but you must register to join us. We’ll provide the details, meeting point and exact time closer to the parade date.

Art build
If you’d like to connect with other CAPE members and make posters for the marches, please join us for an art build hosted by CAPE’s Queer and Trans Workers Equity Caucus on August 25 from 4 to 6 pm ET at the CAPE offices on Albert St. Light refreshments will be provided.
