We are outraged to hear about the loss of Term, Casual and Part-Time staff at Statistics Canada, announced on July 28, 2025.
Now is the time for us to organize as a union, to let the public and government officials know that when they attack our jobs, all Canadians will suffer in concrete ways. We need to stand together with those who risk losing their jobs on October 8th, and those whose indeterminate positions may be at risk in the coming months. Recent history right here in Canada shows that when unionized workers organize together to defend their jobs, they can defeat ‘inevitable’ budgets cuts and government policies.
