CAPE stands in solidarity with Canada Post Workers

Dear members,

The Canadian Association of Professional Employees (CAPE) stands in solidarity with postal workers and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) as they negotiate for fair contracts.

We are disappointed that the parties were unable to reach an agreement and would urge the federal government to reconsider recent back-to-work legislation. We find the government’s response ill-advised and counter-productive.  The move is likely to deepen the wedge between the parties and aggravate postal workers’ struggle, as the situation drags on.

We call on the federal government to return to the negotiating table and rethink its response to the postal workers’ request to improve their collective agreement.
