Capital Pride Parade

Aug 24, 2025
By the fountain in front of City Hall on Laurier in Ottawa

Pride is around the corner and CAPE is getting ready to celebrate with colour, courage, and creativity!

CAPE is showing up in full force to celebrate Pride, affirm solidarity, and stand up for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, in addition to showing support for Queers for Palestine.

Scroll down for more details!

With rising anti-2SLGBTQIA+ hate across Canada and the world there’s no better time to get involved, march in solidarity together and stand up for liberation for all. None of us are free until all of us are free.

Walk with us! Pride parade details
The parade takes place rain or shine on Sunday, August 24. We will be meeting at 11:30 by the fountain in front of City Hall on Laurier. The parade is scheduled to start at 1 pm and will end sometime between 2:30 and 4 pm.

Like we’ve done in the past, we’ll have a shade/rain tent set up by the fountain and hand out CAPE Pride t-shirts, fans and pins, as well as small snacks and water bottles. However, please feel free to wear your own Pride outfit or your CAPE Pride shirt from last year, and bring a reusable water bottle to cut down on waste and refill before the parade starts.

Please RSVP here to help us estimate numbers and supplies.
