With the federal budget being tabled just days earlier, join us on November 6 at 5:30 PM ET for an exclusive post-budget analysis and discussion with David Macdonald, Senior Economist at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.

David is one of Canada’s most respected public-policy economists, widely known for his clear, evidence-based insights on federal spending, public services, labour impacts, tax fairness, and affordability. His work is regularly featured in national media, and his budget analyses have become a trusted resource for public servants across the country.

This year’s budget is expected to be the most consequential for federal workers in a generation. Major cuts are coming, driven by massive new defence spending and costly tax breaks primarily benefiting middle- and higher-income earners.

What does that mean for you?

 • How many jobs are on the line
 • Which programs and services could be reduced or eliminated
 • Who will be asked to do more with less

David will walk us through the real impacts, including details unlikely to appear anywhere in the published budget but that every Canadian deserves to understand.

You’ll also have the chance to meet with David and ask questions during the open discussion.

Be informed. Be prepared. Be part of the conversation.
