This session will be held in English. A French session is planned for May 2026.
This event is intended only for new or existing stewards, local executives and national directors who want to develop their strategic interpersonal communication skills, especially the concept of using key conversations to make impactful change. You will learn how to plan, execute and assess strategic conversations that serve a purpose, while upholding the principles of integrity, safety, and respect as a CAPE union leader.
At the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Prepare for a meeting and develop a strategy to get results.
- Identify how effective tactics can overcome challenges that may arise during the conversation.
- Manage conflict and create shared value by applying effective negotiation principles.
- Follow through on discussions to ensure implementation of agreements and self-assess your own efforts.
