Nora Curti

Nora Curti
EC Director

Nora Curti (she/her) is an 18-year federal public servant living and working in xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) territory in Vancouver. She has spent her career working on initiatives focused on Canada’s relationship with Indigenous peoples and currently works at Crown Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. As a certified mindfulness teacher, Nora has been offering weekly online mindfulness meditation drop-ins since 2020 that are open to all Federal Public Servants.

Nora has been volunteering with CAPE Local 301 since 2013 in roles including steward, Treasurer, and Vice President, and has been the Local’s President since 2021. In 2023 Nora participated as a delegate representing CAPE at the Canadian Labour Congress convention in Montreal. Through this experience she was inspired to collaborate with other CAPE local leaders who shared a vision of increasing CAPE’s participation in relationship-building and acts of solidarity with other labour organizations and social movements.

Upon becoming aware that many regional leaders were not represented on the National Executive Committee, Nora was inspired to pursue a Director position to increase regional representation on the Committee and be a positive voice representing diverse member interests. She is passionate about reinvigorating member engagement within all locals.
