The trial in three lawsuits launched by 18 bargaining agents and organizations (plaintiffs) regarding the $ 30 B pension surplus grab by the government resumed on Monday, February 26. The parties entered into evidence 28 volumes of documents, legislation, actuarial and annual reports of the various plans. The plaintiffs’ lawyers started to outline their case and this, along with the Attorney General of Canada’s presentation of its case, should take up most of this week’s hearing time. Please note that contrary to what was indicated previously, the court will not sit on Thursday, March 1, 2007.
