Call for Volunteers: Communications Sub-Committee

The Canadian Association of Professional Employees (CAPE) is looking for volunteers to join and revive the National Executive Committee’s (NEC) Communications Sub-committee

II. The Sub-committee’s Mandate

The Sub-committee’s role will be to advise and be consulted on CAPE’s communications, advocacy, public and member engagement initiatives.  It will also be expected to provide advice and recommendations to the NEC. 

III. Sub-Committee Meetings

The Sub-committee will be meeting once a month, after working hours, at CAPE’s national headquarters in Ottawa.  Members who join us in person will be served a light dinner. Taxi and parking expenses will be covered by the Association.

Regional Members will be able to join in by teleconference or videoconference.

IV. Rationale

The decision to revive this Sub-committee after being suspended in 2018, was made by the NEC following the hiring of a new Director of Communications, Katia Thériault, in November 2018. Mrs. Thériault has been designated to work closely with the committee to offer guidance and to support the Sub-committee in meeting its mandate.
