TR bargaining: little progress at the bargaining table, but the employer is listening more closelyOctober 06, 2016
Following this week’s meetings with the Treasury Board and Translation Bureau representatives, the TR bargaining team is reporting that little progress has been made.
The employer did agree to discuss TR members’ priority issues, especially with regard to interpreters’ work. However, no progress was made on these issues.
CAPE began by offering to take the less vital issues off the table in order to focus on the key issues. The employer withdrew its demand that a limit be placed the applicability period for retroactive pay.
CAPE informed the employer that it would be tabling its TR group pay analysis a few days prior to the next meeting, which is slated for November 15 to 17. The union team will therefore be able to address the pay issues during these talks.
