What can Unionized Public Servants do to Support the Transition to a Low-Carbon Economy?
Join your CAPE Local 514 for an information session with Tara Peel, the Director, Health, Safety & Environment for the Canadian Labour Congress to discuss opportunities for unions, particularly public service unions, to take positive action in the Just Transition to a low-carbon economy.

Lunch will be served
Tara brings her experience as a member of the 2019 federal Task Force for the Just Transition for Canadian Coal Power Workers and Communities, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Climate Action Network Canada and the national steering committee for the Green Economy Network. She will provide insight on what we as workers and members of Labour unions can do encourage this social and economic transition, including the potential for the use of solidarity funds to support green economy initiatives.
