The hearing of the policy grievance that was filed by CAPE on July 14 was held on September 14. In a reply rendered on October 6, Ms. Hélène Laurendeau, Assistant Deputy Minister, Treasury Board, denied the grievance. The employer is of the opinion that it has met its obligations under article 27.07.

CAPE does not agree with the employer’s decision and has filed a notice of reference to adjudication of a policy grievance with the Public Service Labour Relations Board on October 7, 2009. We will keep you informed of developments in this matter as they occur.
