Union representatives for employees due to move into the Crémazie building at the end of 2003 had good cause to smile when they read in the last few days the memo in which Bureau management triumphantly trumpeted they had succeeded in negotiating for their employees access to showers in this new building. Those in the know are aware that initially, the employer was adamantly opposed to its employees using the showers and only through the insistence of TR representatives did Bureau management ultimately relent and agree to a measure which many would consider to be only the most basic in a context of workplace wellness.
