Politicans Churn the Rumour Mill
June 13, 2005
Rumours have circulated and have been reported in the news of an imminent move of 400 translators from the National Capital Region to New Brunswick. CAPE has received assurances from the Translation Bureau that no move is being planned or explored at this time.
Nonetheless, José Aggrey, President of CAPE, has asked to meet with the Minister of Public Works and Government Services, Scott Brison. The purpose of the meeting would be to discuss what has been reported and to communicate to the Minister CAPE's disapproval of such a move and its reasons for disapproving.
