TR Bargaining – Meetings with the Employer in March

Bargaining resumed on March 18th and 19th. The March 20th day of bargaining was cancelled.

Discussion centered on two problems. The first problem relates to the working conditions of translators who work at the client’s site. Parties spent the second day examining an issue related to the variety of duties for which translators and interpreters are responsible and some of the required qualifications. Exchanges were difficult at times, but progress was made nonetheless on resolving differences between the parties.

Parties will meet again for three days of bargaining during the last week in April.
