Pay Equity: We received 930 ballots (87% return rate); no ballots were rejected and 39 ballots were spoiled. 891 members (99.88%) voted in favour of the settlement, and 1 member (0.12%) voted against.

Treasury Board Ministers had previously approved the two agreements, while the Canadian Human Rights Commission gave their approval to the Pay Equity settlement. The agreements are ratified, now that all parties have given their approval. The Collective Agreement will be signed Monday, February 23. The employer then has 90 days to implement the changes, and 120 days from the current date (February 20, 2004) to do so in the case of the pay equity settlement.
