Dear Translation Bureau TRs and ECs. As this year draws to an end, let’s take a few moments to congratulate ourselves for everything that we’ve accomplished in 2009. Despite the seemingly endless storms that buffet the Bureau and make it hard for us to stay on our feet, we march on, carrying out our work with a remarkable sense of professionalism. Life is tough in an organization torn between public sector obligations and private sector aspirations, and our work environment is often less than perfect, but against all odds we carry on, and I am proud to be a part of our community of professionals.
We have much to fight for, and sometimes success seems out of sight, but your Local will always persevere. Rest assured that we will continue our energetic representations on your behalf during the coming year.
On behalf of the CAPE Local Executive for the Translation Bureau, I wish you a healthy and happy holiday season.
