TR Bargaining – December 4th, 5th and 6th Meetings with the Employer

CAPE’s TR bargaining team met on Monday December 3rd to prepare for the week’s bargaining session with the Employer.
The team then met with the employer’s team on December 4th, 5th and 6th for three full days of bargaining. The three days were spent discussing problems related to certain aspects of the bereavement leave and family-related responsibilities leave articles. The parties reached an agreement on solutions acceptable to both parties. At the end of the session, both sides agreed to come prepared at the next bargaining session to discuss specific problems related to the Parliamentary Sector. Progress is slow, but each issue brought forward for discussion at the bargaining table is discussed extensively.
Bargaining resumes in 2008 on the following dates: January 29th, 30th and 31st; February 12th, 13th and 14th and March 18th, 19th and 20th.
