The members of the LoP negotiating committee are continuing their preparations for the next round of bargaining.
CAPE’s LoP members responded with enthusiasm to the questionnaire, and their answers and suggestions are being analysed in order to determine the union’s priorities and bargaining points.
The committee wishes to thank those members who took the time to read the questionnaire and respond. Only by ensuring that the proposals placed on the bargaining table match the shared priorities of the group can the bargaining committee be sure that the interests of members are being properly represented.
The members of the LoP negotiating committee have now completed the preparation of their list of bargaining points.
The first meeting with the employer’s representatives is scheduled for October 14, 2008, and the lists of bargaining points will be exchanged at that time. Negotiations will follow.
