On March 6, CAPE members at the Library of Parliament voted in favour of the ratification of the new collective agreement.
Library of Parliament Collective Bargaining Update

The CAPE Library of Parliament bargaining team met with the employer’s team on October 14 and 15 as well as on November 12, 13 and 14, 2008. Both parties negotiated non-monetary demands and have settled some of the issues.

On December 23, ACEP-CAPE and Treasury Board have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with respect to the maternity and parental provisions in the EC and TR collective agreements. ACEP-CAPE has also agreed to terms with the Library of Parliament which extends the same provision to our members at the Library of Parliament.

The bargaining team representing the Research Officers (RO) and Research Assistants (RA) at the Library of Parliament has reached a tentative agreement with the employer.
