Call for Volunteers: Young Members Advisory Committee — Equal Opportunities and Diversity Committee
February 16, 2006 At their February 24, 2005 National Executive Committee meeting, the NEC decided that it would further the interest of a broad spectrum of CAPE members, if a Young Members Advisory Committee (YMAC) were formed. This Committee will be new, and will have the opportunity to develop the Terms of Reference, Mandates, goals and actions of the new entity.
A call for volunteers was issued in March of 2005, but there was very little expression of interest. The NEC is hoping that at this time, an active committee of volunteers will step forward to address the issues and concerns of CAPE’s young members.
This Committee is expected to meet three to four times a year, with the possibility of some additional work in between meetings.
Any members interested in participating in the Youth Advisory Committee are invited to contact Anita Bangiricenge by e-mail, at abangiricenge@acep-cape.ca.
