Governance Review: Vote on a Resolution to Amend the Constitution
May 15, 2007
In the near future you will be receiving information in the mail regarding a proposed amendment to the Constitution and a ballot to vote on the proposal. A special general membership meeting is scheduled for June 6 to discuss the proposed amendment. Ballots must be received by CAPE no later than June 18. The amendment is being proposed by CAPE’s National Executive Committee further to a recommendation from the Special Governance Review Committee. Other amendments will be submitted to the membership for a vote in the fall. The timing of the June vote results from the nature of the resolution, the constitutionally defined timeframes for election processes and other factors.
