August 28, 2006 The Canadian Association of Professional Employees is staffing a position of Bilingual Labour Relations Officer.
The Canadian Association of Professional Employees, a union representing over 11,000 professional employees of the federal public service of Canada, is seeking a dynamic experienced individual, committed to union principles and qualified for the responsibilities of Labour Relations Officer.
Under the supervision of the Director of Labour Relations, the Labour Relations Officer provides various services in English and French, including:
1) informing and advising members, as well as representatives of the Association,
2) representing members informally,
3) representing members through various formal dispute resolution mechanisms before the employer and before administrative tribunals,
4) representing the interests of CAPE at various consultative fora.

Conditions of employment for the position of Labour Relations Officer are defined by the ESU Collective Agreement. The salary range is $72,996 to $90,092. In addition to salary, there is a bilingual bonus of $800.00 per year, as well as various benefits such as a health care plan, dental care plan and
retirement plan.
