Pay Increases and New Entitlements

The new EC Collective Agreement will be signed on November 29, 2004. As of the date of signing, EC members have access to new entitlements, negotiated in the most recent round of bargaining (for example volunteer leave).
In response to questions regarding the period during which the employer must implement the pay provisions, please note that the pay adjustments must be implemented within 90 days of the arbitral decision (October 14, 2004), not within 150 days.
For cheques regarding retroactive pay, the employer has 90 days from the date of signing the agreement (November 29, 2004) to implement the changes.
Please ask your pay administrator for information regarding the issuance of adjusted pay cheques and retroactive pay cheques, as circumstances may vary from department to department.
